Verification technology provider
KYC / AML verification with Sumsub
TVK Labs uses Sumsub technology for configured identity-verification and AML-screening workflows within participant onboarding. Depending on the applicable workflow, checks may include identity documents, liveness, sanctions, PEP and related risk-screening controls.
Sumsub provides verification/compliance technology. TVK Labs remains responsible for the applicable legal basis, participant eligibility, policy configuration, risk decisions and regulatory obligations.
1. Why verification is required
Identity and financial-crime controls protect participants and the ecosystem and support compliance with applicable anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions, fraud-prevention and regulatory requirements.
2. Verification stages
- Account and email verification.
- Jurisdiction and eligibility screening.
- Identity verification and liveness checks where used.
- Sanctions and PEP screening.
- Application and risk review.
- Source-of-funds / source-of-wealth evidence where required.
- Allocation approval and risk acknowledgement.
- Payment and blockchain transaction verification.
- Ongoing compliance review through token delivery and vesting activation where required.
3. Individuals
Individuals may be asked for legal name, date of birth, nationality, residential address, government-issued identity document, selfie/liveness verification and supporting evidence.
4. Companies and organisations
Entities may be asked for incorporation records, registered address, directors, authorised signatories, ownership/control structure, ultimate beneficial owners, business purpose and supporting financial/compliance documentation.
5. Source of funds / wealth
Higher-risk or higher-value participation may require evidence showing the legitimate source of the funds or assets used. Documentation may include bank statements, audited accounts, payroll/tax records, sale agreements, investment statements or blockchain provenance.
6. Sanctions and PEPs
Participants and relevant beneficial owners may be screened against applicable sanctions and PEP databases. PEP status does not automatically mean rejection but may trigger enhanced review and senior approval.
7. Wallet verification
Wallet ownership verification may be required. A wallet signature should never require disclosure of a private key or seed phrase. Public wallet activity may be screened for sanctions, stolen-fund, ransomware, mixer, scam or other financial-crime indicators where appropriate.
8. Ongoing monitoring
Approval is not necessarily permanent. Information may be re-verified when documents expire, ownership or risk changes, material transaction activity occurs or applicable law requires refresh.
9. Reasons for delay or rejection
Verification may be delayed or rejected because of incomplete or inconsistent information, unsupported documents, sanctions exposure, inability to verify beneficial ownership, unexplained source of funds, fraud indicators, jurisdictional restrictions, technical integrity concerns or other legal/compliance risk.
10. Data protection
KYC data is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Approved third-party verification providers may process identity information under their own legal obligations and contractual roles.
11. No circumvention
Using false information, nominees, multiple accounts, VPNs, intermediaries or wallet hopping to bypass restrictions or limits is prohibited and may result in termination and reporting where required.
12. Participant responsibility
You must provide accurate, current information and promptly notify us of material changes. Supplying forged, stolen or misleading documentation may lead to rejection and legal escalation.
